中文摘要 本研究旨在探討高齡者參與長青大學日語班學習之動機,為達研究之目的,本研究採質性研究的立意取樣為原則,選取三位在彰師大附設長青大學持續參與日語學習之55歲以上高齡者作為研究對象,進行深度訪談,蒐集相關的資料並且經由逐字稿的資料整理、分析和討論結果,獲得下列研究結論:(1)受訪者參與日語學習的動機主要是本身對於日語有濃厚的興趣;(2)受訪者參與日語學習的動機是喜歡日本文化;(3)受訪者學習日語乃是希望能到日本自助旅遊;(4)受訪者希望學習日語課程,能活化大腦,延緩退化;(5)受訪者希望能透過日語班的學習,交到一些好朋友,拓展人際關係。高齡者學習日語課程之後對生活上皆有正向的影響,有助於成功邁向老化。最後,研究者依據本研究的發現與結論,提供給政府及相關單位對於後續辦理高齡日語課程學習設計與安排之參考。

Learning Motivation of the Elderly to Participate in Japanese Language Courses in Extension Education of NCUE

English Abstract This research investigates the motivation of senior citizens who participate in the Japanese language class of National Changhua University of Extension Education. It uses a qualitative study of purposive sampling in principle to choose three older adults over 55 years-old who have been learning Japanese for a long time in the university. In-depth interviews with transcript were used to collect relevant materials and the results of the verbatim data were collated, analyzed and discussed. The following conclusions were derived: (1) the motivation of respondents to participate in Japanese language learning was their strong interest in the language; (2) the motivation of the respondents to participate in Japanese language learning was their interest in Japanese culture; (3) the respondents wanted to travel to Japan and enjoyed being backpackers; (4) the respondents wanted to activate their brain and delay dementia by attending Japanese language courses; (5) the respondents wanted to make new friends with the same interest in Japanese language courses. Older people had a positive influence on their lives after learning Japanese language courses, which helped them smooth the path to aging. In the end, researcher provided the findings and conclusions of this study to the government and relevant organizations to optimize their design and arrangement of Japanese language courses for senior citizens.Keywords:elderly, Japanese learning, learning motivation
